Our Directorates

Administration and Finance

The Finance and Administration Department main role is to facilitate the smooth operation of other core functions within the Civil Aviation through the provision of administrative, personnel, Budgeting & Accounting and accounting support services

Aerodromes

Aerodrome oversees aircraft flight operations regardless of whether they involve air cargo, passengers, or neither. Aerodromes include small general aviation airfields, large commercial airports, and military air bases.

Aviation Safety and Standards

Aviation safety and Standards is responsible for maintaining the state of an aviation system or organization in which risks associated with aviation activities, related to, or in direct support of the operation of aircraft, are reduced and controlled to an acceptable level.

Aviation Security

The Aviation Security department is cordially responsible for the general oversight of aviation security in the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority.

Corporate Planning and Int'l Relations

The department is responsible for the general oversight of aviation corporate plans, development, and Public Relations

Air Navigation Services

Manages air traffic on one or more of the following services to airspace users:-Air Traffic Management (ATM), Communication navigation and surveillance systems (CNS), Search and rescue (SAR), Aeronautical information services/aeronautical information management (AIS/AIM).

Meteorological Services

Meteorological Services is a branch of the atmospheric sciences which includes atmospheric chemistry and atmospheric physics, with a major focus on weather forecasting. These services are provided to air traffic during all phases of operations (approach, aerodrome and en-route).

Incidents and Accidents Investigation

It is part of accident investigation or incident investigation in the civil aviation including forensic scientists, forensic engineers or health and safety advisers.
